Afri4CAst project is an ESA EO Africa Explorers project aiming to develop advanced EO techniques for supporting food security and food safety in Africa, utilizing Hyperspectral and Thermal EO data. Involving Stakeholders/Early Adopters/EO Experts from pilot countries Kenya and Uganda, Afri4CAst benefits from field data to develop Monitoring and Early Warning Services on essential crops such as Wheat, Maize and Rice. Building upon state-of-the-art methodologies Afri4CAst suggests an innovative approach, offering Crop Disease Mapping & Monitoring and Yield Prediction to support decision makers on food security and food safety matters.
